Important Instructions and Guidelines for the Applicants for Associate Fellowship
- Veterinarians aspiring for Associate Fellowship of the Academy should have a postgraduate degree in Veterinary Science with 15 years of professional experience, of which 5 years should be as a University Associate Professor or equivalent position in other departments/organizations as on 31st December of the year for which the Associate Fellowship is to be granted.
- The applicant should have published atleast 10 research papers/ clinical articles. However, the application of veterinarians from the Indian Armed Forces (RVS), Development Departments of Animal Husbandry and related Scientific Institutions could be considered on the basis of outstanding contributions and experience.
- Applicant for Associate Fellowship must specify if they are already Associate Member (henceforth Member) of NAVS (I) along with year of the award.
- Duly completed applications should be addressed to the Secretary General, National Academy of Veterinary Sciences (India) by registered post/ speed post or courier so as to reach not later than 31st March of the succeeding year for which the Associate Fellowship is to be granted.
- The detailed information and contributions should be provided upto 31st December of the year for which the Associate Fellowship is to be granted.
- Before sending the nominations, please ensure that the form is signed by both the proposer (NAVS Fellow) and the seconder (NAVS Fellow). A proposer can nominate not more than two persons for all types of awards of the academy and the seconder not more than three persons (for all types of awards of the academy) in a year.
- Scientific achievements in work carried out in different categories need to be provided in the separate sub-heads as mentioned in the Proforma along with proof.
- Ten most important publications should be listed and reprints of the papers so listed should also be attached.
- Proof for claims made in different columns should be attached.
- Part B, C and D of the form should preferably be typed. Repetition/ duplication will not be awarded any score. Please also attach a copy of entire list of publications separately along with NAAS Id and rating as on 1st January of the year of submission of application.
- The application should be accompanied by a bank demand draft in favour of National Academy of Veterinary Sciences (India) and payable at New Delhi for a sum of Rs.1500/- for Indian (USD 100 for foreign) nationals towards processing fee.
- Application which is not in the prescribed format or which gives incomplete or incorrect information is liable for outright rejection.
- An admission fee-cum-life time subscription of Rs. 5000/- (USD 250 for applicants abroad) is payable by an applicant upon his/her selection for Associate Fellowship of the academy.
- Minimum qualifying marks for the Associate Fellowship would not be less than 65%.
