GUIDELINES, APPLICATION FORM AND SCORE CARD FOR THE APPLICANTS FOR NAVS (I) – DR KK BAXI, OUTSTANDING SCIENTIST AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN VETERINARY SCIENCES
Important Instructions and Guidelines for the Applicants for NAVS (I) – Dr KK Baxi,
Outstanding Scientist Award for Excellence in Veterinary Sciences.
- The award is exclusively meant for individual senior scientist's engaged in jobs pertaining to Veterinary Sciences. This award will be presented annually.
- Indian scientists possessing B.V.Sc. / B.V.Sc. & A.H. and Master’s degree in any discipline of Veterinary Sciences are eligible for this award.
- Applicant should be between 45 Yrs to 60 Yrs of age as on the last date of the application of the year of award.
- He/she should hold a regular position and engaged in research & teaching in any discipline of Veterinary Sciences.
- The research work must be original and must have been conducted under an integrated, well- focused, research programme / project.
- The award is meant for individual scientist for their (his/her) extraordinary, original, creative contributions in advancement of basic sciences concepts, development of new technology and enhancement of productivity, profitability and sustainability of Veterinary Science.
- Applications for the award will be invited each year.
- Applications are to be made in the prescribed “Application Form”, to be downloaded from the Academy website (http://www.navsindia.org)
- Applications will be accepted up to the specified date, mentioned in the advertisement of the award.
- Each application will be evaluated by a committee of experts on the basis of a score card as has been mentioned in the application form.
- Members of the Judging Committee will not be considered for the award for that particular year.
- Proof for claims made in different columns should be attached. If in a particular year no outstanding entry is identified, no award will be given in that year.
- Application which is not in the prescribed format or which gives incomplete or incorrect information is liable for outright rejection.
- Minimum qualifying marks for this award would be 75%.
- The presentation of award will be made during NAVS (I) annual convocation.
- The awardee would give a presentation of 15 minutes on his/her achievements of his/her work.
- The awardee will be presented a citation and cash award of Rs. 41,000.
