CRITERIA FOR ELECTION OF THE FELLOWS
- The National Fellows could be elected in two channels, namely :
- Those who have applied on the format provided by the Academy and thereafter elected as per the procedure given in the Rules and Regulations; and
- Outstanding Veterinarian who could be nominated by any two National
- Fellows on the Governing Council and approved by the Credentials Committee and the Governing Council, and these persons would not be required to apply, but would only send Biodata. They would have the voting rights and would pay the entrance fee and Life time subscription as in (i).
- As for Honorary Fellow any National Fellow of NAVS can nominate a person who, in the opinion of the National Academy of Veterinary Sciences, either has rendered conspicuous service to the cause of Livestock and poultry Development having far reaching impact on quality and safe animal product production, generating employment for rural poor, weaker sections of the society and OBCs, and contributed significantly, or are such that their election would be of signal benefit to the Academy, provided that their total number would not exceed 25, and further provided that such Honorary Fellows shall not have voting rights.
